CARDIAGORA

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 24, 2026

Overview

Cardiagora ("we," "us") operates a professional network for interventional and structural cardiologists — case discussion, job and locum listings, and physician networking. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use Cardiagora, we collect:

  • Account information: email address and password (managed securely by our authentication provider).
  • Professional profile information: name, credentials, NPI number, ORCID iD, state medical licenses, board certifications, education, training, and work history, publications, and — if you choose to upload one — your CV.
  • Content you post: case discussions, comments, polls, messages to other members, and any photos or videos you attach.
  • Usage information: pages and profiles you view, jobs you save, searches you run, and similar activity, used to operate and improve the platform.

NPI verification

If you request verification, we submit your on-file NPI number to the National Provider Identifier registry (NPPES), a public database operated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, to confirm it corresponds to an active individual provider whose name matches your profile. We do not submit any information beyond your NPI number for this check.

How we use your information

  • To operate your account, display your profile to other members, and enable messaging and networking.
  • To show you relevant job listings, cases, and events.
  • To compute an internal, admin-only engagement score used to identify highly engaged members — this score is never shown to other physicians or to industry subscribers.
  • To communicate with you about your account or platform updates.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.

Sharing with industry subscribers

Cardiagora offers an "Advanced KOL search" feature that lets other members — and, when this becomes a paid offering, medical device, pharmaceutical, or market-research companies — filter physicians by procedure expertise, training institution, and specialty, with peer-endorsement counts shown alongside each match. This uses information already visible on your public profile (name, credentials, specialties, expertise, training institutions) — it does not expose your private account information, messages, or CV.

Other sharing

  • Other physicians: your public profile, posts, and comments are visible to other signed-in members, consistent with the professional-networking purpose of the platform.
  • Service providers: we use third-party infrastructure (database hosting, file storage, email delivery) to operate Cardiagora; these providers only process data on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Cardiagora or our members.
  • We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.

Job listings from public sources

Some job listings on Cardiagora are pulled from public government sources, such as USAJOBS. These listings describe employer-posted positions and are not about you or any Cardiagora member.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can edit or remove most profile information yourself at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us — this permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, and messages.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access-controlled database policies, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

  • You control what appears on your public profile.
  • NPI verification is optional and physician-initiated.
  • You can request a copy of your data or account deletion by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Cardiagora evolves. We'll update the date above when we do, and post material changes on this page.
